Manage

Management is a very braud topic. Every person is able to manage however they manage in different ways. In the topic that we are talking about managing a group, There are many different styles of management as there are many different managers. Every manager had different ways of doing thing, but what makes someone a good manager? In my opinion a good manager in a group setting is someone who discovers what is unique about every person on their team and then they take the uniqueness and capitalize on it. Great managers not only know about these uniqueness but they also value them, coordinating them into their strategy. Personal management is also important. In today's fast paced world with ever advancing technologies, managing ourselves and our time is increasingly important. With more things to do and more distractions, our personal management system is key to achieving our goals. Every person is different on how they manage their personal life. For example, some people prefer paper planner while others prefer digital planners such a google calendar, another example is  how someone plans the order of completing tasks, some prefer to do them in order as their deadline while others choose to do tasks based on importance.

In the video to the left you will listen to Hamza Khan talk about management today and how it should look. Hamza in the video will speak of his own experience of being managed and alternatively as a manager. According to Hamza, managing millennial's and knowledge workers the way we used to manage traditional factory workers can be disastrous and a waste of time. Millennial's are far more advanced as their predecessors are should be put up to more challenging tasks.  thorough out the video, Hamza makes the case that millennial's must be lead, instead of managed and given autonomy to complete their tasks, so that they may grow and reach their full potential.
